Vicky Foods, a turnkey project carried out by Cap Ingelec
To meet the expectations of Spanish company Vicky Foods, Cap Ingelec redesigned the client’s initial project without altering it during the consultation phase. A successful gamble to improve efficiency and make substantial savings.
Vicky Foods, a Spanish food company specialising in bakery products, pastries and Viennese pastries, decided to build its new industrial bakery in France at Fragnes-la-Loyère (71). Close to its logistics centre in the Rhône-Alpes region, the plant will supply the French, German, Swiss and Italian markets.
The design of the project was entrusted to the architectural firm of Rachida Mansouri Nebia, which was also responsible for carrying out all the project studies and drawing up the tender documents. Contacted in the summer of 2021, Cap Ingelec submitted its proposal in March 2022, which included numerous modifications to the initial request.
“Without altering the project, we amended it and improved it considerably,” explains Eric Martin, Cap Ingelec’s Key Account for the food industry.
There were a number of changes: revised altimetry to balance the backfill, a new framework to reduce costs, a column grid with no intermediate columns to save floor space, changes to the building platform and the composition of the roadways, not to mention a completely rethought electrical design.
