Transformation of a former semi-industrial site into a Datacenter
KDDI, the 4th largest colocation provider in the world, has entrusted us with the transformation of a semi-industrial site into a Datacenter in the heart of Paris (11th).
In 2019, the telecommunications operator KDDI France launched a rehabilitation project which consists of transforming a former semi-industrial site into a Datacenter and which includes the creation of technical premises, server rooms and a part destined for office use. Within this framework, Cap Ingelec carried out a turnkey project with a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the design and construction of all the building trades (TCE).
This project included a large amount of work on the reinforcement of the existing building with the installation of a complementary structure resting on its own foundations. The constraint for the design of the site was to integrate the Datacenter in Paris (available space, noise pollution). On this operation, Cap Ingelec is also responsible for the BIM Management of the project, as well as the BIM Coordination of the HVAC and Electricity lots.
The Datacenter with a total surface area of 4690 m² is situated in the heart of Paris, with an IT power of 5 MW IT, (PUE of 1.37) and a TIER III + level objective.
