Following the integration of Exper’Elec in 2019, the engineering and construction company CAP INGELEC is carrying out a new external growth with the acquisition of INGENOVA on 12 January. With this acquisition, the Group intends to consolidate its position as leader in the field of Datacenters, by completing its turnkey offer.
“The acquisition of INGENOVA represents an important step in the implementation of our 2021-2030 strategic plan, which was initiated last September,” says Franck Vialar, Deputy Managing Director of CAP INGELEC. “It is a great opportunity, which brings real synergies in terms of expertise, customers and businesses“. Formalised on 12 January, this acquisition strengthens CAP INGELEC’s position in the world of Datacenters, one of the Group’s three Strategic Business Areas (SBAs), along with Cleanrooms and Critical Infrastructures.
Support for the life cycle of IT rooms
Founded 25 years ago by Karim Sani, INGENOVA (€6.2M in turnover and 34 employees) first made a name for itself in IT relocation, before reorienting its offer in 2011 towards support for the life cycle of IT rooms: design, urbanisation, layout, deployment of IT equipment, relocation, local management and decommissioning. INGENOVA has around one hundred national and international clients, from all sectors. Its portfolio includes multinationals, Datacenter and Cloud players, hosting companies, etc.
A first in France: an integrated datacenter service offering
The planets therefore seemed to be well aligned for this operation, which now brings together an “outside” datacenter specialist and an “inside” computer room expert.
With the acquisition of INGENOVA, CAP INGELEC (€175m turnover in 2021), hopes to soon reach €200m. The Group also intends to consolidate its growth dynamic in France and abroad, through new external growth opportunities, an ambitious recruitment plan and an efficient organisation in terms of sales, production and support functions.
