Cap Ingelec also intervenes in heavy industry. The stamping and hot extrusion company Manoir Industries France (180 employees, 35 M€ turnover) asked the engineering company to model the creation of new generation factories from its French site of more than 50 years of existence. “In close collaboration with the company director, we started with a blank sheet of paper to imagine the process of tomorrow,” comments Marc Boyer, Cap Ingelec’s Engineering and Realization Development Manager.
In concrete terms, this led to the drafting of specifications for the client’s process machines, and a global preliminary project (TCE) with a technical solution optimized in terms of flows and energy needs (favoring the recovery of available energy). We immersed ourselves in the client’s business culture to understand and analyze its activity. Our fresh look at their process, combined with our industrial experience, enabled us to propose simple, high-performance solutions that no one had thought of before. The result is a gain in production thanks to efficient automation and a rationalization of the space allowing the circulation of goods and people in complete safety.
The factories of the future
Obviously, Cap Ingelec is inventing the factories of the future for industrialists, as it has done recently for several projects. “Our engineering profession is evolving because we are increasingly led to integrate the client’s process in our turnkey missions. This global thinking is based in particular on a very high value-added Lean Management approach that we have successfully deployed on certain TCE projects (all trades) for clients such as Ceva Santé Animale ” concludes Marc Boyer. DID YOU SAY LEAN MANAGEMENT?
The Lean Management approach proposed by Cap Ingelec consists of working upstream of the project with the client’s process teams to optimize the flows on site (men, machines, storage, etc.). The method is particularly beneficial during the construction, extension or rehabilitation of a factory for example. It translates into concrete savings on the building, on production costs and on operating costs, by focusing on eliminating non-value added processes and fighting against all waste, notably energy waste (cooling systems, smoke recovery, etc.). It should be noted that Cap Ingelec, very attached to a virtuous social model, also recommends modifications intended to better take into account the comfort, health and safety at work of the operators.
